Skullvane Manse - New Warhammer Terrain

"Skullvane Manse, Lair of the Astromancer makes for an imposing centerpiece for Warhammer battlefields.  Skullvane Manse has the option of being assembled with a telescope or crenellated battlements at its crown, and is covered with all manner of intricate details such as swirling comets sculpted into the roof of the tower."

On the heals of the Garden of Morr this Summer, comes another great looking Warhammer terrain piece from Games Workshop.  GW can be hit or miss with their terrain, but as I've wanted to build something similar I'll probably try to pick this one up in the future.  From the White Dwarf scan above looks like the release date for Skullvane Manse is the 19th of November.  The price on the other hand is harder to tell.

The above pic is a piece of concept art from Warhammer Online.  Although I've never played the game, there's a ton of great concept art that was generated by its creators, especially the buildings and terrain.  Skullvane Manse definitely looks like another fine GW product that owes its origins to this art.

A busy October has keep me away from the blogosphere for the most part this month, but I'll try doing a little catch up on my blog visits.  Hopefully I can get the "Spooky Times" Express rolling again and get some posts up on my Vampire Counts army, Graveyard terrain, and some spooky games from Halloween past and present in the next few weeks.  :-)

  1. It's currently on auction at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Games-Workshop-64-51-Warhammer-Fantasy-Skullvane-Manor-Lair-of-the-Astromancer-/182198524668, but are there any guides out there that teach how to convert the skulls into something less cheesy, without destroying the structure?
